Throughout the season of Lent, we will read the story of our faith together! For 40 days we will read from The Books of the Bible – a fresh, yet ancient presentation of the entire New Testament. We’ll read around 12 pages a day, six days a week (Monday – Saturday). And we’ll gather in small groups to share the journey. Join us in the daily emails with video content, along with three ways to read with us: YouVersion, listening, or a physical book.
This free app can be downloaded on any electronic device. Search for “NT Community Bible Experience.” Don’t worry that it says 8 weeks – we’ve adapted it a bit to fit Lent and will still work perfectly! Follow along with your reading plan straight from your device.
You can download daily audio recordings onto your electronic device and listen to each day’s selection. There is a recording for each day, so find the day you want and start listening!
If you’re local, stop by “take-out church” on Sunday Feb 14 from 2-4pm, or Wednesday Feb 17 from 4-6pm to get your free book! Books can also be purchased from Amazon.
Like most things, learning happens best in community! We’re providing prompts for all of our group leaders so that no matter how much or how little of the Bible you have already read, you can feel comfortable jumping in. Think of it more like a book club, less like a Bible study. Let’s talk about what’s surprising us and is new to us as we read Scripture in a fresh way. Not in a community group and want to join? Connect with Pastor Lindsay below.
While Middle and High schoolers can read along with the adults, our younger readers might enjoy the children's version of The Books of the Bible. We're offering a free copy to any child who wants to read along with us! Stop by "take-out church" Sunday, Feb 14 from 2-4 PM or Wednesday, Feb 17 from 4-6 PM to get your child's copy. Want your elementary-aged child to join our weekly zoom call with games and activities during Lent?! Connect with our Director of Children's Ministry, Jenni McKeown, to get signed up.
